Ask a questionIs the move really free?
Yes. There is no charge for moving your site. The monthly fee for your plan starts once your site is live on the platform.
Who provides the domain, hosting and SSL certificate?
We do, in every plan. We host the site on our servers behind Cloudflare, issue and renew the SSL certificate, and manage your domain: its DNS and its yearly renewal are part of the monthly fee. The domain stays registered in your name. If you need a new domain, we register it for you, also in your name.
Who looks after security, backups and updates?
We do. The site sits behind the Cloudflare firewall, we apply security and platform updates, and the site is backed up every day. You do not need a developer, a hosting account or any technical knowledge.
Is the site fully working from the first day?
Yes. Sections, articles, authors, image galleries, search, feeds and sitemaps all work from the day you switch over. Your editors write and publish from a web-based newsroom.
How quickly will search engines pick up new stories?
Every story goes into the Google News sitemap and the section feeds the moment it is published, with NewsArticle markup that gives search engines the headline, author, dates and image. When a page is crawled and indexed is the search engine's decision; the platform makes sure nothing on your side slows it down.
What happens to existing links and search results?
Existing article addresses are kept, or permanently redirected where a structure has to change, so readers and search engines still find every story.
Who owns the content?
You do. Your articles, images and archive remain yours.
