Cancellations and refunds
How our services are delivered and paid for, how to cancel a project or a maintenance agreement, and how refunds are made. The proposal you accept for a project sets out its own schedule and takes precedence where it differs.
Draft — to be reviewed before launch
What we sell
Development Agency designs and builds websites, business software and SaaS products, customises software packages, and offers optional maintenance and hosting. We do not sell physical goods. Every project is priced on its scope in a written proposal; there are no fixed prices on this site.
How services are delivered
Services are delivered online. Once you accept a proposal and any deposit it requires has been received, the project opens in your client panel, where each stage (onboarding, planning, design, development, review and launch) is shown as it happens. Designs, builds for review, files and invoices are delivered through the client panel, and the finished software is deployed to your hosting or ours as the proposal states. The proposal sets out the milestones; this site never promises delivery dates.
How you pay
The proposal sets out the payment schedule, usually a deposit and then invoices at agreed milestones. Invoices are issued in GBP through the client panel and can be paid by card through a hosted checkout or by bank transfer, as shown on each invoice. A payment counts as received only when the payment provider or our bank confirms it.
Cancelling before work starts
If you cancel after accepting a proposal but before any work on the project has started, we refund the deposit in full.
Cancelling during a project
You can cancel a project at any time by telling us in writing through the client panel or by email. You pay for the work done up to the date of cancellation: milestones already approved, and work in progress on the current milestone in proportion to how far it has gone, as recorded in the client panel. Any amount you have paid for work that has not been done is refunded. Work that has been paid for is handed over to you on request.
If you are a consumer
If you buy as an individual rather than for a business, you have the right to cancel a contract made online within 14 days of accepting it without giving a reason. If you ask us to start work within those 14 days and then cancel, you pay a proportionate amount for the work done up to the time you tell us. This section does not limit any other rights you have by law.
Maintenance and hosting
Maintenance and hosting are optional and agreed separately. You can cancel them at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period already paid for, unless the agreement says otherwise, and we help you move your software and data to another provider.
How refunds are made
To ask for a refund, email billing@devagency.co.uk with the invoice number. Once a refund is agreed, we make it to the original payment method within 14 days. Corrections to an invoice are made with a credit note; a final invoice is never edited.
If something goes wrong
If you are unhappy with any part of the work, please tell us first through the client panel or by email so we can put it right; review rounds are part of every project. If you have a concern about a payment, please contact us before raising a dispute with your card issuer or payment provider, so we can resolve it directly.
