Tyre and parts shop package

An online shop and counter system for tyres and parts: customers find what fits by size or registration, see which branch has it, book the fitting bay at checkout or choose collection or delivery, trade customers see their own prices, and out-of-stock lines are ordered from the supplier with the customer kept informed.

Who it is for

Built for

A good fit

Tyre fitting centres, parts retailers and motor factors from a single branch with two fitting bays up to a few branches with a delivery van and a trade counter. Daily users are counter staff who search, quote and take orders by phone and in person, fitters who see their bay's jobs and mark them done, the branch manager who watches stock, supplier orders and the day's slots, the owner who wants margin by line and stock by branch, retail customers who buy online and book fitting, and trade customers who order from a portal at their own prices.

Not the right fit

It is not for a general parts marketplace with many sellers, for a tyre wholesaler shipping pallets on contract terms, or for a garage that fits the odd tyre from the workshop package; and it does not provide fitment or vehicle data of its own.

The operational problem it solves

How it runs, step by step

Half past eight.

  1. The overnight supplier imports have updated prices and availability from three distributors, and the branch manager sees two lines flagged where a supplier changed a fitment.

  2. A customer on the website enters her registration; the lookup returns her car and two tyre sizes, she confirms the front size, picks a mid-range tyre in stock at the town branch, and chooses a fitting slot for Thursday at ten from that branch's bay capacity.

  3. She pays online, the order and the slot are created together, and the fitter's Thursday list shows her car, the tyres and where they are on the shelf.

At nine a garage on a trade account logs into the portal, enters a registration, finds the brake discs that fit at its tier price, and orders for delivery on the afternoon van.

  1. The parts are at the other branch, so the order raises a transfer; the van driver's run shows the drop with the garage's name and the pick note.

  2. At eleven a customer at the counter asks for a tyre size nobody stocks; the assistant finds it in a supplier's availability, orders it for the customer with a deposit, and books a fitting slot for after the expected arrival date.

  3. When the supplier delivery is booked in, the customer gets a message that the tyre has landed.

  4. At the end of the month the owner runs trade statements per account, sees margin by product group and by branch, stock that has not moved in ninety days and supplier orders still outstanding.

Ownership, maintenance and pricing

After the build

Deployment and ownership

Runs on your own hosting or on hosting we manage; the choice is made in the proposal and can change later. You own the code and your data, including the catalogue as imported, customer and trade account records, orders and stock history, which can be exported at any time in standard formats. Nothing in the package stops a move to another provider.

Maintenance

Maintenance is optional and scoped separately from the build. When taken, it covers security updates, monitoring of supplier imports, payment callbacks and message sends, backups, and a monthly window for small changes such as a new supplier file layout, a new trade tier or a changed delivery zone. Larger changes are quoted as change requests.

Pricing model

Priced per proposal.

Sold as a one-off setup and customisation with optional monthly maintenance and hosting as separate recurring lines. The setup figure depends on the number of supplier files, branches and bays, whether trade accounts, supplier ordering and delivery are included, the payment provider, any vehicle-data lookup and how much catalogue, customer and order data is migrated. The proposal states each line separately so recurring costs are never hidden in the build.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What if a supplier changes the layout of its file?

The import stops rather than loading bad data, flags the run to the branch manager with the rows it could not read, and keeps the last good prices and stock live. Updating the mapping is a maintenance task or a small change request depending on the scale.

Can a customer see which branch has the tyre?

Yes. Each product shows stock per branch and the next fitting or collection availability at each, so the customer chooses the branch that suits them rather than discovering on arrival that the stock is elsewhere.

How do trade prices stay private?

Trade prices appear only to a logged-in account on its tier, with any per-customer overrides. Retail visitors and other trade accounts never see them, and the counter screen shows the right price once the customer is selected.

What happens when a part is out of stock everywhere?

With the supplier ordering add-on, the product shows the supplier lead time, the customer can order with a deposit, and the line is placed on a supplier order. When it is booked in, the customer is messaged and any fitting slot was already set after the expected date.

Can fitters see what they are fitting before the car arrives?

Yes. Each bay has a day list with the vehicle, the parts, their shelf location and the time booked. The fitter marks the job started and complete so the counter knows when the car is ready.

Is this a finished product I can see running?

Not yet. The readiness badge on this page shows the real state: the package is a custom build assembled from our listings, inventory, orders and bookings modules for each business, and the counter screen above is a labelled concept demo rather than a live client system. Needs beyond the listed options go through custom tyre and parts development.
