Readiness: Custom build Concept demo

Who it is for

Built for

A good fit

Directory operators, professional bodies and insurer networks running a clinic and practitioner directory of a few hundred to many thousand profiles. It suits a small operator team who import a dataset, invite clinics to claim their profiles and earn from placements or listing tiers; moderators who review claims and reviews daily; and clinic owners who want to keep their own profile current and see the enquiries it brings.

Not the right fit

It is not for a single clinic wanting its own website, which the clinic booking package covers, nor for operators who want to run appointments on behalf of listed clinics; booking on the platform is custom work rather than part of the package.

The operational problem it solves

How it runs, step by step

The moderator opens the operator dashboard at nine.

  1. Overnight, six clinics started claims: four entered the code sent to the address on their published profile and are verified automatically, two uploaded a document and sit in the queue for a human look.

  2. The moderator approves one and asks the other for a clearer upload through the claim thread.

  3. Three new reviews wait in the moderation queue; two are published, one is held because it names a practitioner no longer at the clinic.

At ten a searcher looking for a physiotherapist near a postcode who accepts their insurer runs a search, filters by insurer and distance, opens a profile with two sites and four practitioners, and sends an enquiry.

  1. The enquiry is stored encrypted, forwarded to the clinic's nominated contact, and appears in the clinic owner's dashboard as unanswered.

  2. The clinic owner replies from the dashboard within the morning and the enquiry is marked answered; the operator sees the reply time in the clinic's statistics without reading the content.

In the afternoon a clinic buys a featured placement for its speciality in its region through the dashboard checkout; it appears at the top of that search from the next index run with a visible "featured" label. The operator ends the day with a report of claims pending, enquiries unanswered after the period they set, and placement revenue by region.

Ownership, maintenance and pricing

After the build

Deployment and ownership

The package runs on the operator's own hosting or on hosting we manage, and the operator owns the code and the data in both cases. Profiles, claims, reviews, placement orders and the audit log can be exported in standard formats at any time; enquiries are exported only to roles permitted to read them. Stored enquiries are encrypted at rest and deleted after the retention period the operator sets.

Maintenance

Maintenance is optional and agreed separately from the set-up. It covers security updates to the platform and dependencies, monitoring of search indexing, enquiry forwarding and payment callbacks, backups with a tested restore, and a monthly window for small changes such as a new speciality or placement product. Larger changes are quoted as change requests.

Pricing model

Priced per proposal.

The package is priced as a one-off set-up and customisation with optional recurring hosting and maintenance. The set-up figure depends on the size and state of the starting dataset, the depth of the speciality taxonomy, the add-ons chosen, the mapping, messaging and payment providers connected, members-only access, and whether you host it yourself. Each line appears separately in the proposal; placement revenue is yours and the package takes no share of it.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How does a clinic prove it owns a profile?

By a code sent to the address or telephone number already on the published profile, or by uploading a document that a moderator reviews. The operator chooses which methods are allowed and can require both for high-value profiles.

Can the operator read enquiries?

Not by default. Operator roles see counts, reply times and status; enquiry content is limited to the receiving clinic. An admin can be granted read access for dispute handling, and every such access is written to the audit log.

Do featured clinics outrank better-reviewed ones?

Featured placements appear in a labelled position at the top of the matching search; the organic results below are ordered by distance and the filters the searcher chose. The package never ranks clinics by clinical quality.

Are registration numbers checked?

They are shown as supplied by the profile owner with a note saying so. Moderated document upload lets an operator record that a document was seen; it does not make the directory a verifier of qualifications.

Can searchers book appointments on the directory?

Not in the package; enquiries are forwarded and tracked. On-platform booking with listed clinics is custom work scoped through the clinic directory development service.

Is this a finished product I can see running?

Not yet. The readiness badge on this page shows the true state: the package is a custom build assembled from our directory, listings, enquiry and ordering modules for each operator, and the example screen is a labelled concept demo rather than a live directory.
