Online booking that asks about the dog before it offers a time, a day view by table or van, deposits, temperament notes with photographs and recurring appointments on each coat cycle.
Independent grooming salons and mobile groomers, from a single groomer with one table or one van up to a salon with several tables, a bath room and a van or two on the road. It suits owners who want online booking to reflect the real duration of each dog, front desk staff who manage the diary all day, and groomers who want the handling notes and last photographs for the dog arriving next on their phone.
Not the right fit
It is not for veterinary practices, where clinical records, surgery and reminders by due date make it a different system, nor for boarding kennels and daycare, where capacity is counted in units by date rather than tables by hour. Both have their own packages. Dog walkers and sitters are better served by the pet care marketplace package.
The operational problem it solves
How it runs, step by step
The front desk opens the day view at half past eight.
The columns are the three tables and the van, each with the groomer assigned for the day; a groomer on leave is greyed out and nothing can be dropped on them.
An owner books online for a cockapoo: the booking flow asks for size, coat type and whether the coat is matted, sets the duration to two and a half hours, offers only slots where a table and a groomer who takes large doodles are both free, and takes the deposit before confirming.
The temperament note from the last visit appears on the booking.
At nine the van groomer opens the route for the day: four dogs in the north zone, grouped because the owner set Tuesdays as north-zone day, with the map and the handling notes for each.
In the salon a Saturday no-show is recorded against the owner and the deposit rule the owner set applies without an argument.
After each groom the groomer takes before-and-after photographs on the tablet, writes a one-line note on how the dog coped and rebooks it on its six-week cycle; the reminder for that cycle is scheduled at the same time.
The owner ends the day with a view of deposits held, no-shows, rebooking rates per groomer and tomorrow's dogs that need two people.

What the package does

Each module below lists its features, and the comparison table shows which package variant includes it.

Bespoke reporting beyond the standard owner dashboards
The package runs on your own hosting or on hosting we manage for you; the choice is made in the proposal and can change later. In both cases you own the code and your data. Owner and animal records, appointments, photographs and payment history can be exported at any time in standard formats, and nothing in the package stops you moving it to another provider.
Maintenance
Maintenance is optional and scoped separately from the build. When taken, it covers security updates to the platform and its dependencies, monitoring of reminders, payment callbacks and photo storage, backups with a tested restore, and a monthly window for small configuration changes such as a new size band, service or travel zone. Larger changes are quoted as change requests against the original scope.
Pricing model
Priced per proposal.
The package is sold as a one-off set-up and customisation, with optional monthly maintenance and hosting as separate recurring lines. The set-up figure depends on the number of tables, vans and groomers, the add-ons selected, the payment and mapping providers connected, and how much client history and photography is migrated. Your proposal states each line separately so recurring costs are never hidden in the build.
Prefer a fully custom build?
Pet grooming software development
Custom booking and client systems for grooming salons and mobile groomers where the slot depends on the dog, the coat and the table, not just the clock.
How does the booking know how long a dog will take?
The owner answers a few questions when booking: breed or size band, coat type and whether the coat is matted. Those answers select a duration and price from the rules you set, so a small smooth-coated dog and a large matted doodle never get the same slot length.
Can a groomer refuse certain breeds or sizes?
Yes. Each groomer carries the sizes and coat types they take, and the diary only offers their table for dogs that match. A dog that needs two people is flagged so the front desk can staff it.
How does the mobile van work?
The van is a capacity unit like a table, with travel zones assigned to days of the week. Online booking only offers van slots to addresses inside the zone for that day, and the groomer sees the day as a route with handling notes for each stop.
What happens when a client does not turn up?
The front desk records the no-show against the owner and the deposit rule you set is applied automatically. The history is on the record so there is no argument at the next booking.
Can clients see the photographs?
Yes. Before-and-after photographs are attached to the visit and shown to the owner in their account, and you choose which ones are shared to your website gallery or social accounts.
Does it take payments itself?
Payments run through a card payment provider connected during set-up; the package records deposits, balances and refunds against the appointment and the owner. The provider is chosen with you in the proposal.
Is this a finished product I can see running?
Not yet. The readiness badge on this page shows the real state of the package: it is currently a custom build assembled from our booking, capacity and record modules for each salon, and the example on this page is a labelled concept demo rather than a live client system. Unusual routing or till integration is scoped on the pet grooming software development service page.
