Projects for renovation and interiors businesses: the enquiry carries a budget band, the proposal is built from phases with a payment at each milestone, the client approves specifications from their timeline, and snags are added from a phone and closed with a photo.
Builders, renovation contractors, kitchen and bathroom fitters and interior designers from a sole trader running two projects at a time up to a design-and-build firm with project managers, a designer and a pool of subcontractors. It suits directors who want cash due by milestone across every project, project managers who want approvals and changes written down before the work, designers who want the mood board the client approved to be the one on record, and clients who want to open their phone and see what happens next.
Not the right fit
It is not for main contractors on commercial construction with formal valuations, retentions and consultant teams, which need a construction contract model, nor for architects selling design stages without delivering the build. Trades doing short reactive jobs rather than projects will find the plumber, electrician or locksmith packages closer to their day.
The operational problem it solves
How it runs, step by step
An enquiry arrives through the website on Monday: a kitchen and dining room, a budget band chosen from the list the director set, four photographs of the space and two style references uploaded from a photo site.
The office books a consultation at the house for Thursday from the designer's availability, and the client receives the confirmation.
After the visit the designer builds the proposal from phases: strip-out, first fix, plastering, kitchen installation, decoration, each with a description and a price, and a payment schedule with a deposit, a payment at the end of first fix and the balance at completion.
The client reads the proposal online, approves it and pays the deposit; the project is created with its timeline.
Two weeks in, the project manager uploads the kitchen specification and the designer's mood board to the installation phase and marks both as requiring approval.
The client sees them on her timeline that evening, approves the mood board and queries one worktop; the designer swaps it, uploads a new version and she approves that.
The installation phase cannot start until both are approved, and now it can.
On site a wall turns out to need a lintel; the project manager raises a change request against first fix with a cost, the client approves it from her phone, and it joins the payment schedule.
At completion she walks the rooms adding snags from her phone with photos; the project manager closes each with a photo of the fix, and when the list is empty the balance invoice is issued and the before and after photos are offered to the portfolio.
The director's dashboard shows every live project, its current phase and the next payment due.

The package runs on your own hosting or on hosting we manage; the choice is made in the proposal and can change later. You own the code and the data in both cases. Enquiries, proposals, project timelines, approved documents with their versions, change requests, snagging lists and the portfolio can be exported in standard formats at any time, and nothing prevents you moving the system to another provider.
Maintenance
Maintenance is optional and agreed separately from the set-up. It covers security updates to the platform and dependencies, monitoring of approval notifications, document storage and payment callbacks, backups with a tested restore, and a monthly window for small changes such as a new phase template or a changed budget band. Larger changes are quoted as change requests.
Pricing model
Priced per proposal.
The package is priced as a one-off set-up and customisation with optional recurring hosting and maintenance. The set-up figure depends on the number of concurrent projects and staff, whether approvals, change requests, snagging and the subcontractor register are included, the design and payment providers connected, the projects and photos to import and whether you host it yourself. The proposal lists each line separately.
Prefer a fully custom build?
Renovation website development
Custom enquiry, proposal, phase, client timeline and snagging systems for builders, renovation contractors and interior designers who run projects over weeks and months.
Can a phase start before the client has approved the specification?
Only if the director allows it. Each document can be marked as gating a phase, and the project manager sees the block and the reason. An override is recorded with who made it.
How are milestone payments collected?
When the project manager marks a milestone reached, the payment on the schedule becomes due and the client is notified with a link to pay by card or bank transfer through the provider connected at set-up. Bank transfers are marked paid only when the office confirms receipt.
Can clients add snags after the list is closed?
The director sets a window after completion during which the client can add items. Within it, new snags reopen the list; after it, the client can still message the office but the list stays closed.
Does it verify subcontractor documents?
No. Documents are recorded as supplied by the subcontractor with the dates they state. The package shows what is on file and when it is stated to expire; checking it remains your procedure.
Can it produce estimates from drawings?
No. Proposals are built from phase templates and prices you enter. Connecting an estimating or drawing tool is custom work through the renovation website development service.
Is this a finished product with a live demo?
Not yet. The readiness badge shows the real state: a custom build assembled from our forms, order, document and booking modules for each business, and the example screen is a labelled concept demo rather than a live client system.
