Sunday evening.
A parent posts a requirement: GCSE chemistry, one lesson a week online, exam in June, budget band selected.
The platform ranks tutors who list chemistry at that level and teach online, with availability overlapping the evenings the parent ticked, and shows each tutor's rate, recorded qualifications with dates, lessons completed on the platform and reviews.
She books a trial with one tutor for Tuesday at seven; the lesson gets its own online link, both calendars update, and the trial is charged at the rate the operator set for trials.
On Tuesday the tutor opens the link from the lesson card, teaches, and afterwards writes a progress note from the chemistry template: topics covered, what to practise, confidence rating.
The parent and the student both see it.
